The Tiger Story

Welcome Home Spiritual Center Who we are Partners in Conscious Leadership

It seems in India, there was a magnificent tiger. A tiger of legendary proportions - in size, strength, ferocity and power. And people across the land were drawn to this beast in hopes of getting a glimpse of it. Yet it lived in a far away place in a part of the land that was so virtually inaccessible and inhospitable that few had glimpsed it.

Yet one woman was determined to do so and after years of travel and trial, struggle and disappointment (yes, all of those quest challenges) she hacked her way through a thicket, stumbled and found herself standing alone in a field, with the tiger laying a scant dozen yards in front of her.

She instantly froze as she met the unblinking gaze of the great beast; for not only was she paralyzed with fear, breaking out in a cold sweat, but she also remembered the rest of the legend.

For the legend said that if you approached the great beast and laid your hand on its head, it would let you feel its immense power and strength, and you'd be divinely blessed and unified within the entire essence of its freedom, magnificence, wisdom and understanding. On the other hand, if you remained paralyzed or tried to turn away the tiger would devour you.

The years of struggle and turmoil seemed like baby steps now to the woman, as she stared into the unblinking eyes of the great tiger. The hardest step lay ahead…

What would you do?

Would you try to convince the tiger that you weren't quite ready; that there was just one more class to take or some other book to read (The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Animal Trainers?).

Or would you reach out your hand?

The Time is Now… the Choice is Yours

What are you willing to become?
